Our Beginning

On March 1, 2008, Elixia Wellness Group purchased The Golden Heart Center for Wellness. Golden Heart was established in 2001 and has been a prominent part of the Sellwood neighborhood in SE Portland. Elixia Wellness Group is owned and operated by Dr. Ryan Minarik and his partner Lynsey Rawlinson.

At Elixia you will find several of the same practitioners as well as new additions who bring a variety of skills and interests. The Elixia Wellness Group strives for Holistic Healthcare to be understood and accessible for everyone in order to make natural medicine an easy choice for your primary health care. We welcome you to share your health needs with us and are excited to meet you. Cindy St. Onge, our wonderful front desk support, will take your call and will be happy to answer any questions and schedule you with the appropriate physician. Please stop in and visit us anytime.

We offer a broad range of diverse services, yet each is tied together through the beneficial impact it can have on your ability to live your life to its fullest: with energy, youthfulness, physical and spiritual beauty, all without pain, stress, or disease. For medical care, Naturopathic and Chinese medicine modalities enable us to approach you as an individual, with a diverse array of treatment methods in an attempt to get to the root cause of an illness or disease.

We truly believe both these forms of medicine should be used preventatively throughout life to optimize health, as well as being the initial method of treatment when battling sickness and disease, whether acute or chronic. If during the course of treatments, or even prior to commencing treatments, we feel that other healthcare is indicated or even necessary, we are determined to aide in the coordination of healthcare in the mission to bring about optimum vitality.

We believe in the benefit of multiple medical opinions and ideas, and investigating all forms of treatment options whether they involve us solely or partially in conjunction with you other healthcare providers. Elixia encourages communication and questions at any time so that you may gain education about your own body, its healing process, and be clear about the goals of your treatment.
