Jamie Noteboom, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist

Jamie graduated from East-West College of Healing Arts in July 2001 and was licensed in March 2002.

Specialties include Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Reiki, movement and stretching techniques, and is well on her way to receiving certification in orthopedic massage.

Jamie trusts in your body's natural ability to heal itself. Our bodies regenerate naturally. They also adapt to our daily lives and routines, sometimes creating imbalances that cause pain and discomfort. Jamie has a confident and compassionate approach to helping her clients discover patterns that limit balanced movement and impede the flow of energy. Her client's increased self-awareness empowers them to tap in to their body's natural ability of healing itself.

Each person is different and has different needs. Jamie believes that by working together you and she can develop a treatment plan using a combination of different modalities to match your needs.

"I really appreciate all of your work and greatly enjoyed the sessions we had over a years time. I truly learned so much from you and liked gaining knowledge about muscles and how the body works. I am still practicing some of the stretches you taught me. You are an inspiration, which is why I am writing. I just recently went to another career preview at East West College of Healing Arts." —Stephanie Unzicker

Massage generally increases the range of motion. It decreases stress and anxiety, lowers tension, and calms the nervous system for increased energy, focus, and well-being. It milks inflammatory fluids and metabolic waste out of tissues and stimulates the lymphatic system to carry the body's waste away, and it increases circulation to body tissues to aide in delivering nutrients to cells.

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle. This includes the fine tuning muscles used for fluid movement. With deep tissue massage you can help your body release chronic patterns of tension, pain and discomfort and correct poor body postures that strain your overall structure.

Acupressure is an ancient Chinese technique based on the principles of acupuncture. It stimulates your body's own regenerative abilities by aiding in the release of blockages and imbalances in the flow of Chi energy through the body's meridians without needles. Acupressure can be incorporated into any massage.

Reiki, originated in Tibet over 2,500 years ago, is energy work used to raise the amount of universal life energy in and around the client. When energy paths of the body are blocked or disturbed, the result can be illness, weakness, and pain. Reiki therapy is used to realign and strengthen the flow of energy in order to decrease pain, ease muscle tension, speed healing, improve sleep, and enhance the body's natural ability to regenerate. People leave sessions feeling relaxed and focused and with a new sense of well-being.
