"I have been very impressed by the massages I have received from Ken Reader. He offers all the best qualities of what one looks for in a good massage therapist. His touch is refined, experienced and sensitive to the body's needs. As a massage therapist myself, I understand the rarity of finding a practitioner who embodies all of these qualities. I very much enjoy my sessions with Ken and look forward to a continued practioner/client relationship." —Elissa

"Ken has magic hands. As a massage and skin therapist , he does an amazing job of helping me maintain a healthy body as well as create the radiance on my skin. His massage style is soothing and relaxing. I feel energized and stress free after his treatment. Ken also has excellent understanding of the body as an experienced yoga instructor. He gives me great advice on exercises and stretching skills towards my body's chronic spots. By having his treatment and the exercises he advises I feel my body has been making amazing improvements. Ken's facial and Brow waxing are incredibly impressive. After the facial, I feel my skin is deeply cleansed, hydrated. More importantly over time I see the radiance on my skin. EVERY single time after I have Ken's facial or brow wax it gets noticed and I am showered in compliments." —Ying Qing Nielson

Will my insurance cover massage?
Many clients have massage paid for by insurance. Elixia Wellness Group will submit the claim to your insurance company.

If you have had a car accident, also known as a motor vehicle accident or MVA, auto insurance Personal Injury Protection (PIP) will pay for massage. Under Oregon law you have up to one year after a car accident for insurance to cover treatment that is reasonable and necessary. That includes massage. Ken has helped many clients after they have had a car accident. The massage helps with the pain and discomfort that follows an accident.

Ken also bills these health insurance plans:

  • Aetna
  • ASHN — American Specialty Health — HealthNet
  • Blue Cross
  • Kaiser / CHP
  • LifeWise
  • ODS with massage coverage
  • Pacific Source
  • Providence

Co-pays are due at the time of service.

Here are the questions we ask your insurance company. You can also ask them:

  • Ask if your plan includes treatment with massage.
  • Ask if you need a referral.
  • Find out what your co-pay is.
  • Find out what your deductible is and whether it has been met.
  • Find out your yearly massage allowance or how many visits you are allowed a year.
